Anyone who has read “The Law of Moses,” knows Sam is raised and lives the first part of his life in New York. For anyone who hasn’t, telling them so, isn’t much of a spoiler.
In order to share the big news, I have no choice. Sam is going home!
That’s right, Sam is returning to New York.
I was contacted and asked if I’d allow The Law of Moses to be displayed at the (get this) 2017 BookExpo New Title Showcase which will be held in New York City in June. The BookExpo is the largest book fair in North America.
I thought about that for, ahhh, two seconds. Less time than it took me to write that phrase.
While in New York, The Law of Moses has an opportunity to be seen by film directors, producers, screen writers, book store representatives, as well as foreign and domestic book publishers.
I shared this with a friend of mine who said, “Don’t get excited. Thousands of books are displayed there.”
“That’s true,” I replied, “but millions are not.”
“Don’t rain on my parade.”
After the short stay in New York, The Law of Moses will travel to Chicago where it will be on display at the 2017 American Library Assoc. Annual Book Fair. This is not as large as the BookExpo, but it is the largest book fair for libraries. Public, private, university and school libraries are represented at the fair.
This might open some doors I’ve been knocking on for a while now. I’ll keep you in the loop.
